Missionary Catechists of the Sacred Heart

Welcome to the home of the Missionary Catechists of the Sacred Heart (MCSH) in the Web!

The MCSH is a religious institute of women of Diocesan Right founded in the old Diocese of Lipa, the Philippines on May 1, 1923 by Bishop Alfredo Verzosa, the first Filipino Bishop of Lipa and Madre Laura Mendoza, a Lipeña.

As consecrated women in the Roman Catholic Church, we seek to follow Christ, and aspire to always be like Him - poor, chaste and obedient through our life of community, study and prayer, and the various apostolates that we perform.  We draw our strength from the Compassionate Heart of Christ and from the inspiration of our founders.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus burning with compassion for humanity and the prompting of the Holy Spirit urge us to respond to the call of the Local Church to go wherever and whenever we are sent.

Please feel free to browse through the pages of this website to learn more about us.

Thank you so much for visiting.  God bless!
